WATCH YOUR STEP
This game was made for the Brackey's Game Jam 2022.1.
It is recommended you play in Full Screen for the best gameplay.
In Watch Your Step, you are an archaeologist making your way through a torturous tower with the goal of making it to the top. Legends say that an artefact with the power to save humanity lays there waiting for its sole retriever. This is you, this is your journey to save humanity.
However, previous explorers that have dared to try, haunt the tower and disguise themselves to trip you along your way. It is your job to discern what is real and not to achieve your goal.

Never read the instructions above, but managed to beat the game. Don't remember exact jump count, but time was 28 min and jumps between 600 and 700. It felt like a fairly finished game for a game jam (except a bug where I couldn't jump in one direction and was forced to do it in the other to release built up energy). The graphics and sound worked well together. I did find it very frustrating at first, but more fun after getting into it. It felt a bit too punishing. But great with gradually introduced mechanics. Good work!
Love the concept of your game!
And its really hooked me to spend times on solving the angle of jumping!
Really like this, very fun and interesting mechanics! Awesome sounds and art as well.
The idea is very unique and makes the game stand out in a good way! The art and sound are really good! I didn't get very far. I might just be bad at these sorts of things but I found it quite challenging. The only feedback I have is to make the beginning easier and make the learning curve a bit smoother. Great game and I wish you the best of luck!
Absolutely. I think after the jam we will go back through and make some adjustments to make the game easier for some players. We are glad you enjoyed Thank You for the feedback!
The begging was bit challenging. After some time I caught myself enjoying the art, idea and controls :D Even falling down! Good job!
Love the minimal but very atmospheric sound design. I have to admit I din't get very far. Nevertheless it's a awesome challange. :D
We are happy You Enjoyed! Yeah we tried to make a somewhat calming ambience to combat the raging gameplay =D. Thank you for the feedback!
Definitely a tough one! Struggled to get past the beginning but a fun challenge. Cute character as well. Thanks for making, and best of luck!
